Working with the Whited trait in Bengals has always been a passion of mine, along with the awe inspiring "type" ( wild looking and with wild movement) of these amazing cats. This has brought me to this point in my breeding program here at Banyan Tree ..... my main focus will be on Type and the Whited trait, with the Pattern to follow. This will form the basis of my selective and tailored breeding program. There is nothing that gets me more excited than looking at a "Typey" and Whited cat walk across the room..... there is nothing else that compares to it. The pattern is also very important, but can be added later on.
There is a theory that the Whited trait is directly connected to the ALC whited underside colour; there is also the domestic Whited trait theory. Neither has been proven genetically; there is the possibility that Whited Bengal cats can have both of these types of Whited in their pedigrees.
