Rainbow Bridge . . . . .

This is dedicated to my cats that have passed over to the "other side".  As a breeder, I feel ultimately responsible for all my cats and kittens, up until the day they leave this world.  I know it is so very hard to "control" how things are for them once they leave my home, but any decisions that I make in regard to their future has a definite bearing on how they may do while in that persons'  care. We are not all "perfect" but we must be diligent in respect to what our cats and kittens are or may be exposed to, their lives can depend on it!  This includes outdoor exposure, dangerous tools or articles that may hurt them, strings, buttons, yarn, elastics, balloons and last but not least...poisonous plants.

It is with great sadness that I am announcing the first "casualty"  that has befallen one of my cats that has left my home.  My Radiant  'Rajah',  a lovely, sweet, affectionate and beautiful 2 year old Bengal was let out onto an outside patio and was exposed to a poisonous plant from the Lily family. His kidneys failed and he had to be "put down". Upon hearing this, I was saddened and outraged; the owner was away and left a friend to care for Rajah. There was a breakdown in communication as to where Rajah could "go" in his house.... his death was avoidable and senseless. I still feel Rajah is my cat, although I had let him go to a new home. He was my very first boy, and he and I were quick to form a close bond.  Rajah was always ready to greet me with a "prancing walk" and he loved to rub on my legs. I will miss him dearly.  I am saddened and will endeavour to stress to new owners of my cats and kittens, to educate themselves as to the dangers that are there waiting for our cats to find..... without our supervision, they are helpless....would anyone let their children be exposed to such things?

Pictures of my Rajah are below .........

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
